MUSIC AND TRADITION The first piece of music I thought about when considering Christmas music played at church was Silent Night. This song provides such a beautiful picture of the birth of Jesus!! We sing it in our candlelight service at home every year. It was also a song I sang in chorus when I was in the 4th grade...Whether I was on key or not was up to the audience to decide, but I sang my heart out! This song is a classic that I enjoy listening to, no matter the season.  "Amazing Grace" is another song that is very dear to my heart. There is so much beauty and truth wrapped up in this song in reference to the grace we are shown by Jesus. I videoed this in Scotland while we were on a mission trip and actually the man playing the bagpipes is on the street that led up to the Edinburgh Castle, which is pretty cool!   Hello everyone!!  I'm Landon Garbade and I'm a Sophomore here at Converse. I'm originally from a very small town called Cassatt, which is about 2 hours from Spartanburg. I am an athlete on the volleyball team and am involved with our school's BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). My sister is also involved with each of these organizations and she is a student here as well!  Both my mom and grandma were both educators, which encouraged me to consider a career in education. However, it wasn't until my senior year of high school that I fully decided to pursue a degree in education. I took Teacher Cadet and had the opportunity to work with a 6th-grade Math Inclusion class. I fell in love with the students and the atmosphere.
